But does he know why it's a failure? Molyneux keeps apologizing but he keeps building games around useless gimmicks.

The first Fable was the best because it was the least gimmicky. It was a solid all around good game. But he changed f*ck all in the sequels except for adding more crap that doesn't change what you were doing and how you do it.

Next comes the outrage over the outrage by the people who were outraged by the original ending in the first place.

Bioware should not have responded in anyway. Once they started feeding the trolls by being accomodating they prolonged this nonsense further.

Had they kept mum everyone would have forgotten this in a few months.

None of this touches my dual enchanted daedric armor and weapons.

By enchanting 25% destruction magicka reduction into 4 pieces of clothing I can use offensive spells infinitely for no cost and my enchanted weapons do not need to be refilled.

Plus i've leveled up heavy armor skill such that the armor weighs nothing.

Didn't play the first but I'm kind of rooting for this game to be good. Just using the CryEngine 3 is enough to keep me interested.

I don't understand why people cheat in online games.

Cheating on tests, I get, Cheating on wives, I get. Cheating for money, makes total sense.

But what's the point in cheating to win an online match? You don't gain anything from it and you certainly aren't fooling anyone else into thinking your a good player.

I suppose griefing is fun, but that's a short lived kind of fun. The "fun" part is the competitiveness...

I work for a Republican assemblyman in California.

If I see this pop up in our office I'll explain why this issue is such a f*cking waste of valuable state resources.

In the 30 fps range of graphics, Uncharted 2-3 and GOW3 look better than Crysis 2 on any console.

And at 60 fps RAGE is more impressive.

If anything the Cryengine 3 is a less spectacular versoin of Cryengine 2, but it's head and shoulders above the mediocrity that has become the UE3.

Better graphics no.

Better gameplay...ehhh...that's apples to oranges.

2 things

First, I wouldn't call these games leading edge when it comes to graphics.

Second, the first two Bioshocks were Unreal 2.5, and BI is a proprietary engine.

HA!

Friggen Blizzard. Only they would (or could) bait their fans for so damn long and then just casually announce, "Oh yeah, by the way, this is coming out in two months."

I'd love for them to do that here as well. Not like it costs anything.

It'll be depressing when this gets outsold by some map pack for a shooter that'll be irrelevant come this November.

Well it's better than JJ Abrams Star Trek, but that's just Star Trek in name only.

As for comparing it to Star Trek proper I would say it owes too much to Star Trek to say it's really that much better. The writing and budget are, of course, much better than the original series and parts of Next Gen, but it does less with more.

Star Trek as a franchise created the paradigm that Mass Effect exists in. And on top of that they are two completely dif...

This is such a non-issue.

Who else but Sony employees would go to the trouble of compiling things like company history, product lines, and so forth and creating/maintaining the wikipedia entry?

All big businesses do this, being shocked by this is like being shocked when Lindsay Lohan goes into rehab again.

Expertly written article.

Uncharted 3 is a great game, but also a flawed one. It never really capitalizes on the themes it embodies.

But on the other hand, at least it has themes. There aren't many, or nearly enough, games where you would have a serious discussion about plot and themes.

So the fact that we can be disappointed with Uncharted 3 in spite of it being the most technically proficient game of the generation is something in o...

Now that's a terrifying thought.

Take Two has been the most quality focus 3rd party publisher this gen. Losing them to the big black cancer that is Activision would be akin to when the merged with Blizzard.

Not good for anybody except the shareholders.

Oh come on.

It's Naughty Dog, who the hell doubts their technical prowess at this point?

There aren't even many PC games that bother to look better than Uncharted.

Ah, I love that old school Japanese mentality. So self-aware, so appreciative.

That said 70+ hours in Skyrim produces a framerate worse than anything in Dark Souls or Demon's Souls And I've never had either DS crash. And I don't spend 1/4 of Dark Souls in load screens

From where I stand From is doing fine technically, not fantastic, but just fine.

Now if only they'd switch publishers to Bethesda so they could use id Tech 5....

What people say: "This isn't a REAL Devil May Cry game!"

What they mean: "Waaaaah, they're doing something outside my comfort zone and I don't know how to handle it."

Jesus H. Christ, the whining. We know virtually nothing about the gameplay, story, setting, or anything substantive. All we have is some short gameplay vids and a trailer or two.

Yeah it looks different visually and this Dante is doing things ol...
